Puna II chicory

Puna II Chicory is a New Zealand-bred, broadleaved perennial forage herb of high nutritional quality, producing high forage yields from spring to late autumn. The slightly raised crown of Puna II produces leafy top growth from a thick, deep taproot giving excellent drought tolerance and mineral extraction. Extensive animal performance data has been generated on Puna II in New Zealand, and many farmers are now using Puna II with very encouraging results.

• Outstanding animal performance- lamb growth rates of 300-400g/day
• High quality fodder for cattle
• High mineral content- particularly zinc, potassium and copper
• Drought and pest tolerant
• Very high summer productivity with rapid regrowth after grazing
